Learning to bring an intentional awareness to relaxing is an important part of mindfulness practice. Sometimes, we spend so much time in our heads that it can become difficult to reconnect with our bodies. Often we prioritise our mind over our body; we heed what our busy (obsessed) mind wants to do, rather than listen to the messages coming from our body.

Relaxation practice helps us to learn to listen to our body. We offer care, gratitude, a space to rest and restore. We aim to connect deeply with our physical body.

Q: Is it okay if I fall asleep?
A: Absolutely!

Deep Relaxation:

A relaxation to take us into sleep, or to allow us to connect deeply with our body, inviting it to rest, release tension and be nourished in this moment.

This is a detailed, guided body scan that moves through our body, allowing it to fill with a heavy, relaxed energy. As we explore, we may naturally experience a feeling of gratitude for all the experiences that our body has made possible. We can know that we are truly supported in this moment and that it is safe to rest.
